Frequently asked questions

What is CBCT?

CBCT stands for Cone Beam Computed Tomography. It uses a cone-shaped X-ray beam to create high-resolution 3D images of your teeth, jaws, and facial structures with much lower radiation than traditional medical CT.

How is CBCT different from medical CT?

CBCT is specifically designed for dental and maxillofacial imaging. It offers higher resolution for bone and teeth, takes less time (10-20 seconds), and involves significantly less radiation exposure.

What are the benefits of a CBCT scan?

It provides precise 3D visualization for implant planning, orthodontic assessment, endodontic diagnosis, and
pathology detection, leading to more accurate treatment and better outcomes.

Is the scan painful?

Not at all. The scan is completely non-invasive and painless. You simply sit or stand still while the machine rotates around your head for a few seconds.
